SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and surgery, and can be used to diagnose inflammatory destruction of the temporal bone in acute mastoiditis. The method includes analysing the concentration of osteocalcin in the blood and deoxypyridinoline in the urine. A rank score is then determined for each indicator, wherein the indicators of osteocalcin in the blood within the range from 11.0 ng/ml to 43.0 ng/ml are taken as 1 point, indicators from 43.1 ng/ml to 80.0 ng/ml are taken as 2 points, indicators above 80.0 ng/ml are taken as 3 points. The concentration of deoxypyridinoline in urine is estimated, taking the indicators within the range from 2.3 to 7.4 nmol/mmol as 1 point, indicators within the range from 7.5 to 14.0 nmol/mmol as 2 points, indicators above 14.0 nmol/mmol as 3 points. The scores of osteocalcin in the blood and deoxypyridinoline in the urine are summed, and at a score of 4 or more, inflammatory destruction of the temporal bone is diagnosed, and at a score of 3 or less, a non-destructive inflammatory process in the temporal bone is diagnosed.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides a possibility of conducting early diagnostics of the destructive process of the temporal bone in patients with acute mastoiditis, performing surgical treatment of destructive forms of acute mastoiditis in the shortest period of time due to the use of biochemical markers in examination.
