FIELD: drying.
SUBSTANCE: roller-based modular veneer dryer comprises modules, wherein each module comprises a drying chamber, a system of rollers moving the veneer inside the drying chamber, as well as an individual electromechanical roller drive rotating the rollers, wherein each of the modules is an independent unit for drying veneer and can be applied both as a singular independent unit and as an assembly of similar modules. In order to move the veneer, only in one module or in several of the modules the mechanical drives thereof from electric engines are configured to temporarily change the transmission ratio, e.g., in the form of a gearbox. Each module can be made both as a separate independent dryer and as a dryer with combined modules, wherein the amount thereof may vary depending on the manufacturing conditions, humidity of the material, and other reasons.
EFFECT: creation of a modular dryer suitable for drying veneer.
