SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers for storing or processing particles of a granular material and to a method and apparatus for reducing vibrations, humming, roaring or howling in the process of unloading particles of the granular material from containers in the form of hoppers, hopper feeders, accumulators, reactors. The container comprises a tapering unloading part with an inner wall converging to the lower hole and to the outlet, and at least one partition located on the tapering unloading part or at the bottom thereof and protruding into the layer of particles of the granular material in the direction of the central axis of the tapering unloading part forming a stagnation area in said layer above the lower hole, wherein said particles of the granular material pass through this hole, wherein the area of said hole is less than the cross-sectional area of the tapering unloading part, where said partition is located and less than the cross-sectional area of the tapering unloading part lower than said partition, or less than the cross-sectional area of the outlet pipeline connected with the outlet of the unloading part.

EFFECT: reduction in the level of vibrations, such as shattering and shaking, and noise effects, such as humming, roaring or howling, is provided.
