FIELD: packaging.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a package for a contact lens with a heat-sealable multilayer covering package material formed from: a support layer and a peelable sealing layer made of a polymer mixture. The polymer mixture is formed from the following components: from 40 to 85 wt.% of one or more of a first amorphous cyclic olefin polymer characterised by a glass transition temperature of no less than 120°C; from 10 to 55 wt.% of one or more of a second amorphous cyclic olefin polymer characterised by a glass transition temperature of less than 120°C, and from 0.5 to 15 wt.% of at least one elastomeric copolymer containing at least one polymerised monovinylarene and at least one polymerised acyclic olefin.
EFFECT: invention ensures production of a package for an ophthalmic apparatus, in particular, for a contact lens, including a multilayer covering material with a sealing layer containing a cyclic olefin polymer, exhibiting a balanced combination of mechanical properties, peeling force and chemical inertness.
