FIELD: suction cleaners.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vacuum cleaner attachment and to a vacuum cleaner equipped with such an attachment. In the vacuum cleaner attachment containing one or more rear wheels, the hinge is configured to lift all from one or more rear wheels from the floor when the suction pipe connected with the attachment rotates around the longitudinal axis of the suction pipe after the attachment is rotated by more than 45° using an additional hinge to position the relatively short side of the attachment in the frontal part of the attachment in the direction of movement of the attachment so that the attachment is capable of cleaning relatively small inaccessible spaces if the relatively long side of the attachment is located in the frontal part of the attachment in the direction of movement of the attachment. If said one or more rear wheels comprise at least two rear wheels, the hinge is configured to simultaneously lift the rear wheels from the floor. Preferably, the hinge is bistable, for the purpose whereof the hinge can be equipped with magnets or a bistable spring to secure the hinge either in the first position wherein one or more rear wheels are configured to touch the floor, or in the second position wherein one or more rear wheels are configured to be lifted from the floor. The vacuum cleaner preferably comprises such an attachment.

EFFECT: object of the invention consists in creating an improved vacuum cleaner attachment, providing the possibility of controlling the direction of movement of the attachment.
