SOFA-BED Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: furniture production. SUBSTANCE: sofa-bed has base, rear wall, sides, carriage mounted on wheeled supports, three sections, two retainers and two conversion mechanisms. Rear wall carries niche and supporting plank with loops connected by pins with first section, which is connected with its one side to second section defining back. Each pin is provided with stop fixed on its one end. First section is connected with third section defining seat through conversion mechanism rigidly mounted on cylindrical side members which define, in conjunction with rear and front cylindrical members, carriage. Front cylindrical member serves back support and rear cylindrical member serves back support. Retainers are positioned on carriage base at front wheeled supports, with predetermined length-height ratio being maintained. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, simplified assembly and disassembly by customer. 4 cl, 3 dwg
