FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to anesthesiology and intensive care. The task solved by this invention is to create a method for assessing the degree of external dislocation of the epidural catheter from the epidural space, which will make it possible to assess the risk of deterioration in the quality of anesthesia and the risk of loss of the epidural catheter by the size of the migration of the epidural catheter, which may lead to the cessation of anesthesia. The essence of the invention is a scale that contains 6 degrees from 1 to 6. Each degree shows how far the epidural catheter is displaced from the initially correctly installed one. Each degree has a characteristic that makes it possible to assess the risk of deterioration in the quality of anesthesia.
EFFECT: purpose of the invention is to offer a convenient method for assessing the degree of external dislocation of the epidural catheter.
