SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of technology for sensory input of information into a computer. The result is achieved due to a device for receiving and detecting an optical manipulated scanning signal of a given area, containing: a set of light receivers placed on the periphery of a given area to receive a split light pulse by selectively activating light receivers, and the split light pulse includes a set of sub-pulses distributed in time and/or space; a detector for detecting a signal provided by at least one light receiver when receiving a split light pulse containing at least one phase splitting component of the detected signal and at least one phase splitting component is selected from a group including a phase splitter providing a signal with alternating sign inversion, a phase splitter providing two homogeneous signals with different phases.

EFFECT: maintaining the characteristics of the detection system’s efficiency: the reliability of detection, performance and energy expended by the system to detect an object under more stringent environmental conditions.
