FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a system for determining a course and angular spatial position of a vehicle, a method for controlling the specified system, and a non-volatile machine-readable data carrier with commands stored on it executed by a processor to implement the specified method. The system for determining the course and angular spatial position of the vehicle contains an inertial measurement unit (hereinafter – IMU) installed on board the vehicle and made with the possibility of generating the results of inertial measurements, including measurements of an angular velocity and acceleration during operation of the vehicle; a source of course information installed on board the vehicle and made with the possibility of generating the results of course measurements during operation of the vehicle; a filter for the detection of an angular spatial position installed on board the vehicle and functionally connected to IMU unit; a course filter installed on board the vehicle and functionally connected to the source of course information.
EFFECT: possibility of determining the course and angular spatial position, when operating the vehicle in any region of the Earth.
