FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. The device for distraction of the bones of the facial skeleton includes at least a pair of distraction devices attached to the bones on the sides of the skull. Each device has a plate for attachment to the temporal bone and a lead screw mounted on it with the possibility of unscrewing outward and reverse screwing. At the end of the lead screw there is a grip for attachment to the zygomatic bone. Plates for attachment to the temporal bone are made in the form of a set. The plate for attachment to the temporal bone is equipped with a pair of rigidly connected racks, at the ends of which a lead screw is mounted. In the set, the plates for attachment to the temporal bone are made with racks of various heights. The gripper contains a plate for attachment to the zygomatic bone with through holes for attachment to the zygomatic bone and a support body rigidly connected to it, in which there is a recess with a flat bottom and conical walls on the side of the lead screw, with an extension facing towards the lead screw, the end of which has a spherical shape and is placed inside the recess. In the end part of the lead screw there is a transverse hole expanding in the form of a cone from the central part towards the outer surfaces of the lead screw, in which a pin is placed rigidly fixed with the ends in the support body. The diameter of the transverse hole exceeds the diameter of the pin in its central part.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the length of distraction, to prevent undesirable complications caused by the displacement of the axes of the lead screws during distraction, namely, to prevent the lead screw from jamming in the thread or to prevent the separation of the grip from the bone and to prevent the development of trismus (tension) of the masticatory muscles with the subsequent development of contracture limitations of the temporomandibular joint.
