FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus designed for building of defects of bones and soft tissue, and primarily for building of lower jaw defects, enables restoration of anatomical form of lower jaw has pair of blocks equipped with plates for fixing to bone fragments, compression- distraction fixing unit mounted for displacement between blocks and provided with means for fixing moving bone fragment formed on one end of jaw defect; compression-distraction unit is made in the form of carriage mounted for displacement on pair of parallel guide rods rigidly fixed to blocks. Carriage is coupled with drive screw installed in at least one block for rotation. Means for fixing moving bone fragment is essentially pair of turning shoulders carrying wires in their cavities secured therein by means of split joints. Each plate used for fixing to bone fragments is free to bend and has through holes to receive screws turned in bone. EFFECT: enhanced aesthetic result obtained. 10 cl, 19 dwg
