FIELD: simulators.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of simulators and can be used to change the field of visibility in the simulators of ground vehicles. The essence of the invention is that with the help of an RGBD camera, the head is initialized in the image, the head is detected in the image, the head is tracked in the image, the position and orientation of the head is determined, the parameters of the visibility pyramid are calculated, and the field of view is changed on monitor screens and on images of rear-view mirrors, according to the calculated parameters.
EFFECT: method allows changing the field of view on the screen of monitors and images of rear-view mirrors without using sensors and markers attached to the operator's head.
