SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport, in particular, to methods for finishing the internal surfaces of the bodies of cargo transport, and can be applied in the automobile, railway, and car-building industries. The method for attaching lining elements to metal surfaces includes the stages wherein I-beam profiles of one of the shelves are installed on a metal surface in the bottom, a layer of elastomer is applied to the metal surface by a liquid method so that the I-beam profile protrudes therefrom in height after solidification, sheets of engineering plastic are cut into segments, the engineering plastic segments are then milled on the reverse side, forming T-shaped grooves, the dimensions and amount whereof and the distance between which correspond to the size and amount of the installed I-beam profiles and the distance between them, the segments of sheet of engineering plastic are installed by coupling the T-shaped grooves.

EFFECT: wear of the internal surfaces of bodies is reduced, sticking, sintering, freezing of cargo thereto, damage during transportation of chemically active cargo and during cleaning thereof by means of a tool are eliminated, unloading, takeout time is reduced, and possibility of attaching a lining sheet made of engineering plastic over the entire surface of the body without damage and drilling and possibility of quickly replacing the sheet with a new one without dismantling the lining structure are provided.
