FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for automatic laser butt-welding of non-rotary butt annular connections of pipe steels in a protective gas environment. Preliminary uniform heating of the welded edges to a temperature of 100 to 130°C at a width of no less than 75 mm in each direction from the welded edges is performed. Multi-pass laser welding is performed with single-roll filling of the slot preparation of the edges at a speed of orbital laser welding of 0.6 m/min and a wire feed speed of 3.5 to 7.0 m/min. A welding wire with a diameter of 1.0 mm and a mixture of protective gases consisting of 80% Ag and 20% CO2 are used.
EFFECT: stability of the welding bath is achieved as a result due to the volume of the welding bath minimised by applying laser welding in the mode of deep penetration of the root seam, welding in the mode of heat conductivity when forming filling seams and reducing the level of heat content of the welded joint.
