FIELD: oil and gas pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the repair of main oil and gas pipelines by replacing a defective section of the pipeline both under normal conditions and in permafrost conditions. The device for fixing and centering the ends of the pipeline increases the reliability of fixing the ends of the pipeline when cutting out a defective section due to fixing the position of the device itself before cutting and a reliable pipeline capture system, and also provides centering of the ends of the pipeline with the help of power cylinders for subsequent welding to the pipeline of a new section.
EFFECT: device for fixing and centering the ends of the pipeline increases the reliability of fixing the ends of the pipeline.
