SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a tool for installing an annular seal in a pipe column. The tool contains a core, a housing mounted on the core and kept from falling out by a sleeve, which interacts with the counter surface of the casing hanger by its the contact surface. In the lower part of the housing, located below the edge of the annular seal, there is at least one node of the spring-loaded finger, made with the possibility of holding the annular seal, including the finger. The axis of the finger is located in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the tool. The upper part of the annular seal installed in the tool is covered by a casing fixed to the housing in such a way that the lower edge of the casing protrudes beyond the lower edge of the housing in contact with the edge of the annular seal. The sleeve is made with external grooves on the outer surface with the possibility of moving the elements of the spring-loaded finger assembly along them and sinking or extending the finger when fixing the annular seal in the tool.

EFFECT: reliability of the annular seal attachment in the tool increases and the probability of loss of the annular seal decreases during the descent/ascent of the annular seal.
