SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for mounting or dismounting the protective sleeve of the wellhead X-mas tree profile. The tool for mounting the protective sleeve of the wellhead X-mas tree profile comprises a pipe with a thread for connecting the drill string, a body mounted on the pipe, and a plug. At least one slip die is located in the housing and configured for predominantly radial movement. At least one stopper is rotatably located in the plane predominantly perpendicular to the axis of the slip die. At least one locking screw secures the stopper. Holes are made on the outer surface of the housing. When lowering the protective sleeve, fingers are installed in the holes on the outer surface of the housing, which form a bayonet connection with the grooves made on the protective sleeve. The stopper on the end has a protrusion interacting with the groove made on the slip die. The axis of the protrusion on the end of the stopper is displaced relative to the stopper axis in such a way that the rotation of the stopper leads to the fact that the slip die moves in the radial direction relative to the body.

EFFECT: simplification of the design of the tool for mounting the protective sleeve of the wellhead valve profile.
