FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining. Method for development of a powerful gently sloping formation with release of coal of ceiling includes coal-mining extraction of coal in undercut layer – layer near bed soil, transportation of broken coal along working face by scraper conveyor, maintenance of working space with sections of mechanized support of supporting-barrier type, preparation of ceiling mass by dividing into equal portions, breaking of its continuity and output of portion of coal of ceiling mass to face conveyor via outlet openings in enclosures of support sections. Division of ceiling of the array into portions is performed by cutting of longitudinal channels with a machine by increasing the thickness of the layer during extraction of each second strip. Disruption of solidity of the ceiling mass is performed by the section of the support sections into the pillars between the formed channels.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of production of ceiling.
