FIELD: aerospace industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy plate and can be used in the aerospace industry. The method for manufacturing the plate product made of aluminum alloy AA2xxx series includes casting an ingot made of aluminum alloy 2xxx series containing, wt. %: Cu from 1.9 to 7.0, Mg from 0.3 to 1.8, Mn up to 1.2, homogenization and/or preheating of the cast ingot, hot rolling to obtain the plate product by rolling the ingot in multiple passes, and with an intermediate plate thickness from 100 to 200 mm, at least one hot rolling pass is performed with compression in thickness of at least 15% and a deformation rate <0.77 s-1, while the plate product has the final thickness of less than 60 mm. The invention also relates to an aluminum alloy product obtained from a plate made by this method.
EFFECT: increase in fatigue failure resistance and a decrease in the number of defects.
