SUBSTANCE: proposed method relates to mining, in particular to the development of deposits by the open method and the restoration of areas disturbed by open mining operations, and can be used in the extraction of minerals and reclamation of waste dumps. A method for reclamation of a waste dump, including laying waste in a dump, covering it with a fertile soil layer and sowing grasses, and placing waste in a dump is performed in an L-shaped form at a quarry, cover the dump with an advancing front from the periphery with a fertile layer of soil from two warehouses for permanent storage of the fertile layer Soils: L-shaped on the pit side safety berm, removed within the boundaries of the waste dump, and rectangular, removed within the boundaries of the pit. The formation of permanent storage warehouses is carried out in the following sequence: strips of removal of the fertile soil layer (FSL) are separated by a bulldozer to concentrate it in piles, followed by shipment by an excavator onto a conveyor to move the FSL to the permanent storage site and laying with a spreader in strips on the territory of the FSL warehouse until application to the waste dump. At the final stage of mining technical reclamation after the end of mining operations, the FSL is loaded from the warehouses with EKG-5A excavators through a self-propelled bunker onto a conveyor and dumped using a spreader, and then the soil layer applied to the surface of the dump is leveled with a bulldozer.

EFFECT: increasing the ecological efficiency of the dumped waste dump covered with a fertile soil layer.
