FIELD: material research.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of materials research by special methods, in particular to installations for assessing the low-temperature properties of grease lubricants (GL), for heavily loaded sliding friction units, and can be used in the petrochemical industry, in particular in laboratories for the production of new types of GL. An installation for evaluating the low-temperature properties of greases for heavy-loaded sliding friction units is proposed, containing a refrigerating chamber, inside which a test horizontal shaft passing through the chamber wall and connected outside the chamber through a gearbox with an electric motor shaft, a friction working unit in the form of a load ring connected by studs with a load disk mounted by means of a bearing on the test shaft, to the outside of which a strain gauge sensor of the friction working unit is connected by a flexible rod, connected to the input of the software control unit connected to the temperature sensor in the refrigerator. The installation additionally contains a temperature sensor of the working friction unit connected to the corresponding input of the software control unit, and the test shaft inside the refrigerator is made collapsible of three stages, each of which is an individual section with a coaxial internal groove for the temperature sensor. At the same time, a cylindrical sleeve of the sliding bearing is rigidly fixed on the middle stage of the test shaft, and annular displacement limiters of the sliding bearing along the axis of the test shaft are placed on the extreme stages of larger and smaller diameters.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the results of the evaluation of the low-temperature properties of the GL with the simultaneous identification of the characteristics of the change in properties in small gaps of sliding bearings in conditions close to real operating conditions.
