SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the application of makeup to the skin. A cosmetic kit contains a cosmetic device and a product for makeup, intended for applying to the skin by means of the specified device that has a peripheral surface containing islands located unevenly within the surrounding surface, wherein each island has the greatest size of at least 0.8 mm and has a shape and/or properties that provide the possibility of removal and/or release the product, which is on the skin or which is intended for applying to the skin, and that differ from a shape and/or properties of the surrounding surface in such a way that to provide the creation on the skin of a structure, the appearance of which is related to the location of islands on the surface, wherein the device contains islands having the greatest size from 0.8 to 2 mm, more than 2 mm, but less than or equal to 3 mm, and more than 3 mm, but less than or equal to 5 mm, wherein a number of islands having the greatest size from 0.8 to 2 mm is more than a number of islands having the greatest size of more than 2 mm, but less than or equal to 3 mm, and more than a number of islands having the greatest size of more than 3 mm, but less than or equal to 5 mm. A method for applying makeup to the skin is also disclosed.
