FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: presented is an aerosol-generating system containing: an electric power source (60); an electric heater (40); and a power control circuit (100) connected between the electric power source (60) and the heater (40), wherein the power control circuit (100) comprises: a power measurement unit (30) configured to determine the power supplied to the heater (40) from the electric power source (60) and output the voltage corresponding to the measured power proportionally to the power supplied to the heater (40); a voltage comparator (10) connected with the power measurement unit (30) and configured to output a voltage difference signal based on the difference between the voltage corresponding to the measured power and the reference voltage (V reference); and a power adjuster (12) connected between the electric power source (60) and the heater (40) and reacting to the voltage difference signal, wherein the power adjuster (12) is configured to adjust the current or voltage supplied to the heater (40) to return the voltage difference signal to the predetermined range or to minimise the voltage difference signal.

EFFECT: structural simplification and reduction in the electricity consumption.
