FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: device for the development of hearing and speech in the cloth-eared and deaf is made two-channel with the provision of conversion and transmission of binaural electroacoustic signals. The device contains a sign language teacher microphone and a control and channel switching unit, each of which contains a student microphone, a programmable micromodule, a block of frequency filters with adjustment elements, an amplifier with an output signal level controller and a microphone. Frequency filter blocks are made on electro-vacuum amplifying radio tubes to ensure the formation of even frequency harmonics in the output electroacoustic signal, introduced by electro-vacuum amplifying lamps and contributing to improving the student’s perception of the spectrum of the output acoustic binaural signal. The programmable micromodules are removable with USB connectors to provide pre-recording of an individual digital audio program from an external computer.
EFFECT: effectiveness of the interaction of the sign language teacher with students is improved, the time for rehabilitation of the disabled suffering from hearing loss is reduced, as well as the degree of perception of the spectrum of the output electroacoustic signal is increased by approaching the natural sound by introducing even harmonics into the output signal.
