FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for generating a filtered audio signal from an input audio signal. Audio signal is reproduced by each loudspeaker from a plurality of loudspeakers and sound waves emitted from said loudspeakers are recorded by two microphones to obtain a recorded audio signal for each of the two microphones. First of plurality of loudspeakers is located in first position at first height. Second of the plurality of loudspeakers is located in a second position different from the first position at a second height different from the first height. Determining a plurality of binaural pulse room characteristics by determining the binaural room pulse characteristic for each loudspeaker from a plurality of loudspeakers depending on the reproduced audio signal and, depending on each of the recorded audio signals, forming at least one filter curve depending on two of the multiple binaural pulse characteristics of the room.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing filtering of audio signal to create effect of raising or lowering virtual audio source for binaural audio signal.
