FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to the production of high-strength wear-resistant rolled metal, which can be used for mining equipment, excavator buckets, rippers, lining of dump truck bodies. A method for the production of sheets of high-strength wear-resistant steel with a thickness of 8-50 mm includes steel smelting, casting of continuously cast workpieces, their heating, rough rolling into a roll of intermediate thickness, finishing rolling of the roll into sheets of final thickness, heat treatment and subsequent cooling in calm air. Steel is smelted, containing, wt.%: carbon 0.25-0.40, silicon 0.20-0.40, manganese 0.70-1.00, chromium 0.60-1.10, nickel of no more than 0.10, copper of no more than 0.20, titanium 0.01-0.05, vanadium of no more than 0.03, niobium of no more than 0.03, molybdenum 0.10-0.50, nitrogen of no more than 0.010, aluminum 0.01-0.06, boron 0.001-0.005, sulfur of no more than 0.005, phosphorus of no more than 0.01, iron and unavoidable impurities is the rest, the carbon equivalent Ceq is no more than 0.76. Rough rolling is carried out to a roll thickness multiple of 2.0-2.5 thicknesses of the finished sheet, finishing rolling is started at a temperature of no more than 990°C and completed at a temperature of no more than 880°C, heat treatment is carried out in the form of quenching and tempering, wherein the quenching temperature is 880-960°C, the tempering temperature is 290-340°C, while after finishing rolling, an austenitic grain size is no more than 60 mcm, and the sheet structure after quenching and tempering consists of martensite.
EFFECT: sheets with a thickness from 8 to 50 mm are obtained for the manufacture of wear-resistant equipment with a hardness of 475-580 HB and guaranteed operation of KV-40 impact of at least 30 J.
