FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of cold-resistant sheet metal used for metallurgical, oil and gas industries, construction, transport and heavy engineering, bridge building, production of lifting mechanisms and means of transporting goods operating in extreme conditions of the Far North. Continuous casting of steel is carried out, containing, wt.% of: carbon 0.15-0.25, silicon 0.35-0.60, manganese 1.30-1.90, molybdenum 0.01-0.30, aluminum 0, 02-0.07, chromium not more than 0.15, nickel not more than 0.15, copper not more than 0.10, titanium not more than 0.015, vanadium not more than 0.01, niobium not more than 0.008, boron up to less than 0.001, sulfur not more than 0.005, phosphorus not more than 0.013, nitrogen 0.001-0.008, iron - the balance, with the production of slabs. Slabs are heated to a temperature of 1180-1250 °C and multi-pass hot rolling of sheets is carried out with a finish rolling end temperature of 860-980°C. The resulting sheets are subjected to hardening in the temperature range from 850°C to less than 920°C with water cooling and subsequent tempering at a temperature of 550-700°C.
EFFECT: provides the production of rolled products with a high level of mechanical characteristics, as well as cold resistance up to minus 70°C.
