SUBSTANCE: disposable diaper (1) has a front zone (F), a rear zone (M) and a perineal zone (R) and includes an absorbent node (2) and an outer covering element (3) located on the side of the surface of the absorbent node (2) not facing the skin. The outer covering element (3) includes at least an outer sheet (31) of non-woven material forming a surface not facing the skin, and an inner sheet (31) of non-woven material forming a surface facing the skin. Each of the front zone (F) and rear zone (R) has a protruding part in which at least one of the outer sheets (31) of non-woven fabric and the inner sheet (32) of non-woven material protrudes outward from the edge of the waist opening. The protruding parts are bent to the surface facing the skin to form bent parts (35) covering, respectively, the front end part and the rear end part of the absorbent node (2). In the bent parts (35), the sheet of non-woven material forming a surface that is closest to the skin and represents the surface of the part covering the front end part, and the sheet of non-woven material forming a surface that is closest to the skin and represents the surface of the part covering the rear end part have different properties.
