SUBSTANCE: disposable diaper (1) of the present invention includes a front waist flap (FA) and a back waist flap (FB), extending in the lateral direction (Y) and located outside the front and back ends (23A) and (23B) of the absorbing element (23) defined in the longitudinal direction (X). Back waist flap (FB) has a hydrophobic sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin and a hydrophilic sheet (5) located on the side not facing the skin. Sheet (4), located on the side facing the skin, includes depressed parts (41), pressed in toward the sheet (5), located on the side not facing the skin, and the bonded parts (42) in the upper sections corresponding depressed parts (41). Bonded parts (42) include parts in which the constituent fibers of the sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin are fused and attached to each other without a gap between them. Surface density of the sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin is 30 g/m² or less. Thickness of the bonded parts (42) is 1/3 or less of the thickness of the parts other than the depressed parts (41) in the sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin.
