FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used as a generator of signals of a local oscillator of a receiver and an exciter of a transmitter with frequency modulation. To obtain a frequency-modulated signal with a low level of distortion at the output of a powerful voltage-controlled generator, a wide-band follow-up loop of phase-locked loop (PLL) is provided, with the subsequent supply of the generated signal to the transmitter power amplifier. In the receive mode, with the baseband switched off, the output of the reference frequency synthesizer is used as the local oscillator of the receiver.
EFFECT: low level of frequency and nonlinear distortions is ensured in a wide range of modulating and carrier frequencies when operating in the transmission mode; high performance when tuning in the operating frequency range and high signal purity (low level of phase noise and parasitic spectral components) when operating in the receive mode.
