FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: to realise the technical result, the user equipment configuration defines a bandwidth part (BWP) allocated for transmitting and receiving a direct connection on the carrier; the transceiver executes direct connection communication in the determined BWP on the carrier. Dynamic BWP switching is therein supported for communication between the user equipment and the base station on the carrier and is not supported for direct connection communication on the carrier.
EFFECT: facilitated determination of the resource for direct connection communication, detection of direct connection or any other direct connection operation in the New Radio NR access technology for the purpose of reducing the complexity of the receiver configuration and improving the productivity of the communication system.
