SUBSTANCE: method for preparing a beverage from portioned package (1) comprising container (2) made of a filter material in which an extractable material is located, and supporting body (3) surrounding container (2). Closed portion package (1) is inserted into the filtering vessel, opening the portioned package container (2) on the upper side and increasing the inner volume of container (2) by at least 50% compared to the inner volume in the closed position, and water is supplied to the extracted material for preparation of beverages. At that, supporting body (3) comprises at least one fold edge (8) connected to rotary valve (7), opening of the portion package is performed by turning at least one valve (7), to which the upper part of the filtering material is attached. For opening, the portioned package can be moistened in the area of fold edges so that it can be opened automatically.

EFFECT: method and design of the package provide simple preparation of a beverage; at that, during transportation of the portion package in a closed position, it has a small volume.
