SUBSTANCE: system for placing an exterior mirror on a utility vehicle includes an exterior mirror structure with at least one reflective surface and at least one door leaf. The door leaf has a reduced section. The reduced section provides free space to prevent collisions with the exterior mirror structure so that the reduced section is at least partially made with the possibility of filling the exterior mirror structure. The utility vehicle, in particular a minibus or a truck, contains the mentioned system.
EFFECT: compactness of the placement of the exterior mirror is achieved.
