SUBSTANCE: invention relates to downhole engines including adjustable bending nodes for directional drilling. The downhole engine for directional drilling contains a driveshaft assembly including a driveshaft case and a monolithic, non-removable driveshaft located inside the driveshaft case with the possibility of rotation, wherein the driveshaft case has a central axis, the first end and the second end opposite the first end of the driveshaft case, the driveshaft has a central axis, the first end, the second end opposite the first end of the driveshaft and a receiving device axially protruding from the second end of the driveshaft, a support node including a support case and a support spindle in the form of a monolithic one-piece structure located inside the support case with the possibility of rotation. The support spindle contains a central through hole forming a flow path designed to allow fluid to flow through the support node. The support case has a central axis, the first end connected to the driveshaft case, and the second end opposite the first end of the support case. The support spindle has a central axis coaxial with the central axis of the support case, the first end directly connected to the second end of the driveshaft by means of a cardan joint, and the second end connected to a drill bit. The first end of the support spindle is located inside the receiving device of the driveshaft.

EFFECT: increase in the strength of the connection between the driveshaft and the spindle is provided, as well as an additional reduction in the distance between the bit and the bend is provided.
