FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mechanism for switching a folding device on a smooth shaft, which can be used, for example, in winding or laying devices. Switching mechanism contains a lever facility made with possibility of installation on the carriage of the folding device and connected to the mechanism for changing the direction of movement of the carriage, and two limiters of movement of the carriage, adapted for interaction with the lever facility. Carriage movement limiters are made with possibility of fixation on smooth shaft with possibility of carriage placement between them. At the same time each limiter can contain a bushing made with possibility of rigid fixation on a smooth shaft, and at least one radial rod protruding from the bushing.
EFFECT: switching mechanism provides uninterrupted operation of the folding device on a smooth shaft.
