SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to psychiatry and physiotherapy, and can be used for the rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia, with prophylactic prevention of recurrence of the disease. To do this, against the background of psychopharmacotherapy, additional aerofitotherapy sessions are carried out. An aerosol of clary sage essential oil is sprayed at a concentration of 2.5-3.0 mg/m3 per 1 cubic meter of the room for the procedure. During the first seven minutes of the aerofitotherapy session, breathing exercises are carried out according to the following algorithm: five seconds - inhalation, three seconds - pause, five seconds - exhalation, three seconds - pause. When performing breathing exercises, the patient is advised to use diaphragmatic breathing. The musical accompaniment of the session is carried out by listening to the compositions of Mozart. The duration of the session is 30 minutes. A session is carried out two hours after the morning drug intake. The rehabilitation course includes 14 daily sessions.

EFFECT: method improves the efficiency of rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia and improves the quality of life.
