SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering, in particular to devices for the preparation of feed on livestock farms and complexes. The cutting segment is made in the form of side flat cutting sectors interconnected by means of a fastening element in the form of a plate with holes to form a single piece. In this case, on the longitudinal axis of the plate with holes, made in the form of an isosceles trapezoid, an additional cutting sector is installed perpendicular to this plate. The cutting sector is made in the shape of an isosceles triangle with apex directed upwards. Wherein the cutting sector is installed with the possibility of horizontal movement between the side flat cutting sectors, the cutting edges of which are made in the form of a generatrix of an ellipse.

EFFECT: cutting segment allows reducing the energy intensity of the working process, increasing the quality indicators of the chopped feed.
