FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric water heaters. Flat electric water heater contains at least two tanks (2.D), (2.S), connected in parallel to each other, one external casing, one pipe for cold water, one pipe for hot water, electric resistor and at least one anticorrosion anode. Outer casing (1.1) accommodates two tanks (2.D), (2.S) and has top cover and bottom cover. Pipe for cold water in upstream tank (2.D) of two tanks (2.D), (2.S) is adapted to supply cold water at the level of the bottom of upstream tank (2.D) and has an inlet opening at lower cover. Pipe for hot water in downstream tank (2.S) of two tanks (2.D), (2.S) is adapted to take hot water from the upper part of downstream tank (2.S) and has an outlet opening on lower cover. Two tanks (2.D), (2.S) are connected in parallel to each other by means (6) of direct mutual connection. Means (6) of direct mutual connection comprises at least two opposite pairs of flat projections (6.D), (6.S), formed by casting on adjacent shells of two tanks (2.D), (2.S) at the same distance along the longitudinal axis of the shells to be on the same axis. Each of flat projections (6.D), (6.S) has an opening limited by annular collar (6.DB), (6.SB), which slightly protrudes from the surface of such shell and is connected to it by sections (6.DR), (6.SR). Collar (6.DB), (6.SB) is adapted for direct connection with collar (6.SB), (6.DB) of opposite flat projection (6.S), (6.D) of adjacent tank (2.S), (2.D).
EFFECT: reduction of total width of the entire flat water heater, due to reduction of distance between water tanks.
