FIELD: heating systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric household heating units and can be used for water heating in living conditions. According to invention, electric water heater includes vertical internal tank (1), external casing (2), heat-insulating layer (3) located between internal tank (1) and casing (2), cold water supply nozzle (10) and hot water discharge nozzle (11), heating element (4). The latter is installed on external surface of internal tank (1) in its lower part with possibility of being replaced, heating element (4) is ring-shaped and installed in annular grooves 6 made on external surface of tank (1); at that, internal tank (1) is weld-free, all-metal with lower and upper necks (8) and (9), in which there installed are nozzles (10) and (11) for supply of cold water and discharge of hot water respectively. Water heater is equipped with temperature control (12), power switch (13), operating modes switch (14), thermometre (15) for visual water heating, safety valve (16).

EFFECT: reducing power consumption, increasing reliability, maintainability, electric safety, fire safety and increasing life time of electric water heater.
