FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device, a system and a method for determining heart rate of an animal. Device comprises a capacitive displacement sensor connected to a strap designed to be worn by an animal over animal skin. Said capacitive displacement sensor comprises two electrodes. Said capacitive displacement sensor is configured to detect a pulse by generating a signal, associated with a change in the distance between the skin of the animal wearing said device and said capacitive displacement sensor. Said two electrodes include an external transmitting electrode configured to transmit signals and an internal receiving electrode, configured to receive signals. System comprises i) a capacitive displacement sensor connected to a pad to be worn by an animal over the skin of the animal. Said capacitive displacement sensor comprises two electrodes. Said capacitive displacement sensor is configured to detect pulses by generating a signal, associated with a change in the distance between the skin of the animal carrying said system and said capacitive displacement sensor. Said two electrodes include an external transmitting electrode configured to transmit signals, and an internal receiving electrode configured to receive signals. System includes (ii) a signal processor configured to receive signals from said capacitive displacement sensor. Signals contain information on said pulses. Signal processor is configured to detect peaks of said pulses based on the obtained information and determine the shape of the heart rate signal. Method is characterized by that pulses are detected using a capacitive displacement sensor, which generates a signal, which relates to change in distance between said capacitive displacement sensor and skin of an animal carrying said capacitive displacement sensor. Method involves converting signals from said capacitive displacement sensor into a heart rate signal. Said signals contain information on said pulses.
EFFECT: creation of an approach to obtaining a heart rate and a heart rate signal, which can significantly improve reliability and accuracy of data and surpass the capabilities of other existing technologies.
