SUBSTANCE: X-ray imaging device for visualising the skull or a partial area thereof, containing a patient support tool located between the X-ray emission source and the detector. The patient support tool comprises a rear support structure containing a supporting part configured to be placed in the occipital region and connected with the X-ray apparatus so that the supporting part of the rear support structure moves when adjusting the position thereof along a line or in a plane, the angle whereof relative to the horizontal plane is in the range from 15 to 25 degrees.
EFFECT: application of the invention will facilitate placement of the patient during X-ray imaging.
