FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment. What is presented is a shoulder arm adjuster for patient's shoulder fixation on a patient platform. The adjuster comprises a clamping mechanism for the reliable attachment of the adjuster to the platform. Guides extending from the platform are attached to the clamping mechanism. The above guides comprise sliding bars accommodating lever brakes to stop the above bars moving from the platform, and break releases. Upward supports for the shoulder arms applicable to facilitate the cervical spine X-ray visualisation and comprising stop limits for fastening the above shoulder arm are attached to the bars. In order to apply stress to the patient, the operator moves the above shoulder arm by actuating the lever brakes and pushing the upward supports; after the shoulder arm is positioned, the bars and shoulder arm can be fixed in place by releasing the lever brakes.
EFFECT: invention enables visualising the cervical spines by X-ray imaging without operator's assistance at a bedhead.
