FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electric energy meter using blockchain technology. Meter comprises an “Electrical measurements” unit, as well as related units intended for placing data on electricity transactions in block chains and storing data on electricity transactions in the memory of the meter, according to the invention, the “Electrical measurements” unit comprises a current transformer and voltage transformer, performing discrete measurements of electric current and voltage parameters with determination of received and sent energy amount, “Relay” unit includes four electromechanical relays, which switch power electrical load between internal and external networks, “Communication” unit includes two communication modules, providing for the counter interaction with other electricity users owning their own generation meters, over the wireless network and over the mobile operator network, “Presentation” unit is an HTTPS page stored in the internal memory of the microcontroller, through which the current state of the counter is accessed through a user interface.

EFFECT: possibility of transportation of surplus electric energy received by user from own generation to other electric energy users is provided.
