FIELD: casting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a slide gate for a container with molten metal. The slide gate contains a slide gate case, a slide assembly longitudinally directed to it with a pusher rod, a holder on the slide gate case and a linear drive that is installed in the holder. The linear drive contains a hydraulic cylinder, a main piston with a drive rod, made with the possibility of connecting to the pusher rod of the slide assembly, and an additional piston with a locking head. The additional piston with the locking head is mounted on the drive rod with the possibility of moving along it independently of the main piston until the locking head interacts with a recess made in the hydraulic cylinder holder, and it is fixed in the recess, or the locking head is removed from the mentioned recess.
EFFECT: possibility of automatic installing or removing the linear drive of the slide gate before and after casting.
