FIELD: ship technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship technology, namely to a propulsion system. Propulsion system for placement of a drive shaft connected to a marine engine and having a central longitudinal axis. The propulsion system contains a wall for mounting the drive shaft with the possibility of rotation, while the drive shaft is equipped with a brake disc; caliper shaft and brake caliper mounted on the caliper shaft. The brake caliper can be moved between the first position and the second position by rotating and/or moving the caliper shaft. In this case, the brake caliper in the first position is configured to brake and/or hold the drive and brake disc, and in the second position the brake caliper is configured to move and/or the drive shaft together with the brake disc in a direction parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the drive shaft. The caliper shaft runs through the wall.
EFFECT: facilitation of maintenance of the braking system installed in the inaccessible space of the propulsion system.
