SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drive units for sea vessels. Drive unit is made with possibility of installation on marine ship and comprises movable housing, which is made with possibility of rotation around axis (A) relative to ship hull lining. Propeller shaft is installed with possibility of rotation relative to movable housing and rests on two rolling bearings. Propulsor rotates together with the propeller shaft. Propulsion unit includes at least two propeller shaft braking and locking systems, which are located in the front part, on the section between the front rolling bearing and propulsion element.

EFFECT: provides for braking and blocking of propeller shaft of propulsion unit.
