FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building. The intake system of a reciprocating internal combustion engine contains an air cleaner (6) in the form of a volumetric expansion chamber, to which an inlet pipe and an air intake pipe (7) are connected, including a connecting part (16), an inlet part (15), limited by an inlet section (18), in the cavity of which the noise suppression device (19) is coaxially mounted. Noise suppression device (19) comprises a housing with tubular (22), bottom (24) and neck (23) parts, forming integral combined parts of two acoustic resonators - quarter-wave and half-wave acoustic resonators. A longitudinal plate divider (28) is mounted in the air cavity of the quarter-wave acoustic resonator, forming a corresponding bypass window, forming communicating tubular branches of the tubular part (22) of the half-wave acoustic resonator with its two neck (23) parts located in the plane of the throat part (23) of the quarter-wave resonator jointly forming the throat part (23) of the combined resonator muffler (27).
EFFECT: reduction of sound levels throughout the high-speed operation of the engine.
