FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in multicylinder internal combustion engines with fuel injection into cylinders. Proposed multicylinder engine has cylinder head with intake holes with fitted-in intake valves and fuel feed devices. Intake branch pipes go directly from intake holes and open into common gas assembling receiver connected to intake and air cleaning system. Receiver has cylindrical housing limited by end face walls. Union is installed in receiver space. Union is secured on end face wall of receiver coaxially to its housing. Outlet of union is connected to intake and air cleaning system of engine. All outlet dynamic cuts of intake branch pipes are located in one plane X-X passing through center of gravity (CG) of receiver space air volume. Inlet dynamic cut of union is arranged in plane Y-Y, parallel to plane X-X, and passing through center of gravity CG1 of conventional volume of receiver space limited by plane X-X, nearest to cut end face wall and connecting them side wall of receiver housing. EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise damping and suppression of gas fluctuations in engine intake system, provision of optimum power, economy and ecological characteristics of engine. 3 cl, 4 dwg
