FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine with intake system contains intake line supplying fuel mixture into cylinders of internal combustion engine and consisting of intake pipes with device to deliver fuel into engine cylinders, receiver connected by main pipe to air cleaner made in form of chamber to which air intake branch pipe is connected, limited by air intake cut, in intake part of which noise damping device is arranged coaxially being made in form of multifunctional quarter-wave resonator of cylindrical form with formation of through ring (slot) clearance, length of resonator being half of length of air intake branch pipe. Neck of resonator is arranged in middle of air intake branch pipe, and bottom of resonator is arranged near plane of intake cut of branch pipe. Several through damping holes uniformly spaced in middle of dynamic length of quarter-wave resonator are made in side part of resonator housing wall. Summary area of through damping holes ∑Fh is found from equation ∑Fh=0.05-0.06Fr where Fr is area of cross through section of resonator, and dynamic length Lr=Ir+▵3 where Ir is geometric length of inner space of resonator housing and ▵3 is dynamic elongation of resonator (▵3 ≈ 0.3 of diameter of through section of pipe cut).
EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise damping.
