FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining works, to shelter chambers in mines for rescuing personnel in the mines from damaging factors. The rescue module for rescuing personnel in mines from damaging factors: mine collapse, explosion, shock wave, dust pollution, gas pollution, fire, or mudflow, consists of a body, a frame, inner and outer lining. The mofule is quipped with a life support system and an airlock chamber. Oxygen cylinders are installed in the module. For the purpose of quick evacuation into the module from the bottom hole by regular manual progressing of the module in confined conditions toward the bottom hole and long-term protection of miners therein, said module is made in the form of an elongated hollow dome-shaped body supported by the bottom in the form of an elongated hyperellipse. The rescue module is manufactured from composite materials. The bottom with vertical recesses into the body accommodating the wheels is made in the form of a rolling platform whereon the rescue module is installed. The rescue module is configured to be placed and move in a recess cut in the side of the roadway of the mine, and move along the tracks arranged in the roadway of the mine. Also claimed is a method for using the claimed rescue module.

EFFECT: creation of a light-weight, compact, small-sized, mobile rescue module providing evacuation.
